Description
Wow, what a stunning setting for a waterfall. This off the beaten, long cascade, Appalachian mountain stream, 100 ft. (about 50 ft. high) Blue Ridge Parkway waterfall, Roaring Creek Waterfall, is carved out of a small gorge surrounded by layered, textured mountain stone. Covered by very green, lush moss and greenery, the setting makes you feel as if you are in west coast rain forest. I had to be so careful climbing the slippery moss covered stones to get to a high enough perch to capture the texture in this Pisgah National Forest landscape. I managed to do it slithering over on my fanny until I could get to a safe spot to stand. Better to be safe than sorry. Wouldn't this Blue Ridge Mountain stream be perfect on your walls?
