McClellanville, South Carolina is the town that time forgot along the Inland Waterway north of Charleston, It has been hit with the ravages of time and looks like it did hundreds of years ago. This blue decorated old church St James Santee Episcopal Chapel of Ease is just one of a number of old churches here. A related church is the very old St James Santee Episcopal Church nearby Hampton Plantation. Shrimpers and fishing boats launch from here every morning. Photographers are in their element here, shooting old stores, historic churches and memorable scenes along the water's edge.
