Description

Not too far away from McClellanville is Jamestown, South Carolina and the Santee River and very old tiny settlements that used to exist, most now gone with few remnants. Huge old Bald Cyprus trees line the rivers, with low branches and moss typical in the south. Down a lonely sand road we came on this bend in the river at sunset with the golden rays peaking through the bare trees in winter, reflected in clear waters. Even in winter the views are stunning and well worth a visit.
