I love sunflowers. They bring a smile to my face every chance I get to photograph them. I made a recent trip to a flower farm near me.

This flower farm in Lynchburg, Virginia has been in operation for decades, This old flower farm, Irvington Springs Farm, has passed down from one generation to the next. I spent several wonderful hours there recently, finally giving up after it got too hot in the summer sun. I came home with an armful of wonderful flowers and many photos. This charming, budding sunflower playing peakaboo sports an orange center was just peaking out to reveal some unusual colors. This variety has white edges, not the normal yellow.
