On our way to see a launch of a SpaceX at Cape Canaveral and NASA, traveling through the Canaveral National Seashore we managed to get a number of shots of a few pelicans in the area. This male Brown Pelican was caught taking off, very dark lighting around him in late afternoon. I think he was giving me a pelican version of a hallelujah greeting. I love the colorful webbed feet! They are so cool!
Photographed in January on one of the many lagoons surrounding Cape Kennedy. Also available in color.
