Description
How many times we have walked over the Holbeinsteg Bridge in Frankfurt, Germany? Our daughter and her family lives in Sachsenhausen District directly across from Frankfurt, Germany, two blocks from the Sachsenhausen side of the bridge. Sachsenhausen is pictured here. This bridge is one of three pedestrian bridges that connect Sachsenhausen with downtown Frankfurt. The other two bridges are the Eiserner Steg built in 1868 and Arthur-von-Weinberg-Steg built in 1983. Built in 1990, this is the newest of the three bridges and serves as a main pedestrian and bike access to Frankfurt. This photo is taken on the banks of the Main River at sunset in winter from the Frankfurt side of the river.
Every time we cross this bridge the scenery changes with with the seasons and weather.
