Description
My fervent wish was to capture the majesty of this view of the Canadian Rockies, near Banff, on the Icefields Parkway. It was the summer of forest fires and there was no guarantee we would even be able to see any views when we made the decision not to cancel our trip. Somehow I wished it to be a wonderful trip and wonderful it was. Below this view of the surrounding evergreen tree forests and Fireweed wildflowers, is the Bow River, with the sun just having set with alpenglow on the mountains opposite the sun.
