Did you know a poppy signifies sympathy? The poppy flower has come to be a symbol of remembrance and hope. Historically, it is used particularly in recognition of the Armed Forces around the world and remembering the losses of life on the battle field. The Ancient Greeks associated poppies with abundance and fertility while modern symbolism is now typically one of remembrance for any loss of life.
This card is composed of my original photograph overlaid with a textured editing and is universally suitable for any occasion where a sympathy card might be needed.

Like many photographers, I didn't begin the process becoming a professional photographer, as a conscious decision. The decision was a linear progression over many years. I like to travel, so naturally would photograph to document our travels. My before retirement job required I learn the basics of photography and programming using a point and shoot camera. The move to professional photography changed over time. I was encouraged to buy a better camera as my photographs got better.
