Artist's Description
I expected to find sunny skies on a trip to Botany Bay State Park, Boneyard Beach, on Edisto Island, South Carolina on this day in December, but was greeted by low contrast skies and high tides which covered the causeway over to the two islands you must pass to get there.
When we are out shooting, we are always asked by others,"did you get a good shot?" I always tell people the same thing. "I have to get home and then see what I have." Sometimes we know we did well, but then there are other days like this one, I was surprised. It wasn't until I started processing I decided I loved this shot. I love the soft colors, the harsh rustic tree branches compared the swirls of the taupe colored water and most of all I loved I was surprised by the outcome.
What I came home with were striking photos highlighting the second life these trees are giving us in photos. What a marvelous day I had. I hope you enjoy this on your walls as much as I loved this day!
Thank you for visit...

Gradually as my photography got better, I was further encouraged to move to selling and becoming a professional. We are surrounded by beauty, but so much isn't noticed. Photography has encouraged me to create so beauty is noticed and appreciated. I am just a...
