Artist's Description
Across the vast canvas of the Hilton Head tidal salt marsh, muted colors of grays and greens unfolds beneath a sky heavy with muted light. Low clouds brush the horizon, their edges bleeding into wispy tendrils of fog that snake inland, clinging to the distant line of trees like ethereal scarves. The marsh itself slumbers under a blanket of silence, its usual symphony of rustling grasses muffled by the damp air.
Layers of salt-tolerant grass sway gently in the breeze, their shades shifting from seafoam green to dusty olive as they catch the slivers of sunlight piercing the gloom. The lowest reaches, submerged in the shallows, shimmer like a jade mirror, their reflection marred by low country South Carolina incoming tide. Further out, the mounds of grass add texture to the monotone panorama.

Photography has encouraged me to create so beauty is noticed and appreciated. I am just a...
