Artist's Description
Ocean City, Maryland is home to this Indian totem pole on the boardwalk. My original photograph has had some artistic elements and texturing added as well as an abstract forest background, all in monotone colors. He was modeled after a Nanticoke Indian, a tribe of Indians that no longer exists.

About Norma Brandsberg
Like many photographers, I didn't begin the process becoming a professional photographer, as a conscious decision. The decision was a linear progression over many years. I like to travel, so naturally would photograph to document our travels. My before retirement job required I learn the basics of photography and programming using a point and shoot camera. The move to professional photography changed over time. I was encouraged to buy a better camera as my photographs got better. Gradually as my photography got better, I was further encouraged to move to selling and becoming a professional. We are surrounded by beauty, but so much isn't noticed.
