Jackson River. This 100' quaint bridge is 5' higher in the middle and was built in 1857. Located in Covington city park this old bridge is considered a top attraction in the Virginia, West Virginia, Alleghany Highlands area.

Like many photographers, I didn't begin the process becoming a professional photographer, as a conscious decision. The decision was a linear progression over many years. I like to travel, so naturally would photograph to document our travels. My before retirement job required I learn the basics of photography and programming using a point and shoot camera. The move to professional photography changed over time. I was encouraged to buy a better camera as my photographs got better.
