One of the few remaining humpback bridges in the United States, this charming bridge is a perfect spot in the summer to bring the kids for a picnic and frolic is Dunlap Creek, a tributary of the nearby. Jackson River. This 100' quaint bridge is 5' higher in the middle and was built in 1857. Located in Covington city park this old bridge is considered a top attraction in the Virginia, West Virginia, Alleghany Highlands area. Autumn is a favorite opportunity for a visit.

Like many photographers, I didn't begin the process becoming a professional photographer, as a conscious decision. The decision was a linear progression over many years. I like to travel, so naturally would photograph to document our travels. My before retirement job required I learn the basics of photography and programming using a point and shoot camera.
