This Costa Rica Pacific Ocean countryside landscape at sunset is so picturesque, sunbeams reflecting off the water in the distance. We were there during the time the sugar cane fields were being burned which created amazing atmospheric conditions resulting in the most magical sunsets.

Like many photographers, I didn't begin the process becoming a professional photographer, as a conscious decision. The decision was a linear progression over many years. I like to travel, so naturally would photograph to document our travels. My before retirement job required I learn the basics of photography and programming using a point and shoot camera. The move to professional photography changed over time. I was encouraged to buy a better camera as my photographs got better. Gradually as my photography got better, I was further encouraged to move to selling and becoming a professional. We are surrounded by beauty, but so much isn't noticed.
