Description
What's left of the Pepperell Manufacturing Manufacturing Company Mill in Biddeford, Maine, is this headless cupola mill clock. This old mill operated for over 100 years, and was one of many mills operated throughout New England by this company. This company was known for their "Lady Pepperell" line of linens made in this original location along the Saco River. Most recently the company was known as West Point Stevens and later West Point Home making Vellux blankets. It shuttered for good in 2009.
I had to be selective in this capture. This old cupola and clock is behind a wrought iron fence which limits access. I love this old clock and the ivy on the nearby wall and hope it gets restored someday.
