Over the hills, north of Florence are some special wineries, beautiful with amazing charm and known for producing wines of exceptional quality. There are amazing photos as well as food to enjoy in travels to this region. This antique door was captured at the wonderful Castello Trebbio, know for producing wines of exceptional quality as ell as wonderful multi-course dinners in a gorgeous setting under the stars.
The Chattanooga Choo Choo Hotel is a beacon of history located in the heart of downtown Chattanooga. In 1909 the Terminal Station opened as the first railway station in the South, designed in the famous Beaux Arts style. The Choo Choo Hotel was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1974 and remains one of the city’s first historic preservation projects.Guests can eat in a fine hotel restaurant located in back of the hotel in old railroad cars or a number of eateries in the main railroad lobby located in the old train station pictured here.
I had a chance to capture this iconic sign trying to travel from our home in Virginia to New Orleans in our camping trailer, when suddenly Covid 19 hit. We stopped a few days in Chattanooga and then turned around and went home when our camping spot was cancelled in New Orleans. This sign will always be a memory of those times.
This sign would be very cute in a child's or grandchild's bedroom or for anyone who loves trains or train memorabilia.
