Description
Traveling down a backroad of the Normandy France coastline, along the English Channel this very romantic tall pink and white flowered plant caught my eye. I had no idea the name of the plant, not until now when I am editing my original photograph to be more elegant and French, and romantic looking.
Technically it is known as Acanthus mollis, with common names of Bear's Britches, Bearsfoot, Oyster Plant and Sea Dock, native to Europe and Africa with large attractive leaves and showy flower spikes. It can grow 4-6 ft, high and is very showy with bright green glossy leaves.
I've added a textured background and have added a more paint like finish.
