Description
I stepped back in time in January, when we visited charming Rockville, South Carolina near sunset. There are two old churches here, no businesses, just fishermen and shrimpers doing what they have always done in this area. It's one of the few places along the coast that marches to it's own tune and is very reminiscent of what the South Carolina and Georgia coastlines used to look like. This old fishing village with working with shrimper working boats is just south of Charleston and worth a visit. This historic town is blessed with old grand homes, beautiful sunset and sunrise views and people who love history and wouldn't change a thing about living here.
Pictured here is the Luck Chalm and Miss Marilyn Shrimpers. The shrimp boats normally don't go out in the dead of winter and remain in port for a rest until February or so.
