Norsk Folkemuseum is located at Bygdoy in Oslo and is an outdoor collection of 160 historic, old buildings. The Gol Stave Church was built about 1200. Most of the other buildings were built focuses from 1500 until present time and in-door exhibits feature Norwegian folk costumes, folk art, church art and Sami Arctic culture.

This old window belongs, edited in a square format, to a log built house which I found charming with the old glass reflections and the cut out white-washed shutter so typical of the Nordic and Scandinavian homes. I've edited it to be in tones of gray and white to highlight the old hand blown glass.

Like many photographers, I didn't begin the process becoming a professional photographer, as a conscious decision. The decision was a linear progression over many years. I like to travel, so naturally would photograph to document our travels. My before retirement job required I learn the basics of photography and programming using a point and shoot camera. The move to professional photography changed over time. I was encouraged to buy a better camera as my photographs got better.
