The National WWII Museum, is a military history museum located in the Central Business District of New Orleans, Louisiana. The museum focuses on the contribution made by the United States to Allied victory in World War II. Founded in 2000, it was later designated by the U.S. Congress as America's official National WWII Museum in 2004. The museum is a Smithsonian Institution affiliated museum, as part of the Smithsonian Institution's outreach program. The mission statement of the museum emphasizes the American experience in World War II.
The entrance architecture is very unusual. I took my original photograph and gave it a feeling of motion on the under layer and then followed through with layers of the the original image in slightly changed colors and layered them adding the flags I photographed near the entrance and name of the The National WWll Museum on the final layers.

Like many photographers, I didn't begin the process becoming a professional photographer, as a conscious decision. The decision was a linear progression over many years. I like to travel, so naturally would photograph to document our travels. My before retirement job required I learn the basics of photography and programming using a point and shoot camera. The move to professional photography changed over time. I was encouraged to buy a better camera as my photographs got better.
