The New River, has been designated as an "American Heritage River" and is recognized as the “second oldest river in the world." It is estimated to be between 10 and 360 million years old. Hundreds of miles of climbing trails, the best white water rafting on the East Coast and dark skies make this area a vacation destination for families around the globe.
