You have just witnessed a storm in the Dreischusterspitze Sesto mountain valley, and it is an experience that you will never forget.
The storm clouds gather overhead, and the wind begins to pick up. The air is charged with electricity, and the temperature drops. In the distance, you can hear the rumble of thunder.
You stand in the middle of the valley, surrounded by towering peaks of Punta dei tre Scarperi. The sky is dark and ominous, and the only sound is the howling of the wind.
After what seems like an eternity, the storm finally begins to subside. The rain slows to a drizzle, and the thunder rumbles in the distance.

Like many photographers, I didn't begin the process becoming a professional photographer, as a conscious decision. The decision was a linear progression over many years. I like to travel, so naturally would photograph to document our travels. My before retirement job required I learn the basics of photography and programming using a point and shoot camera. The move to professional photography changed over time. I was encouraged to buy a better camera as my photographs got better. Gradually as my photography got better, I was further encouraged to move to selling and becoming a professional. We are surrounded by beauty, but so much isn't noticed.
