No doubt about it, I LOVE texture...and this photo is an example!

This waterfall is located in the New River Valley Gorge area in West Virginia, near the Cotton Hill Mill, Fayetteville and Gauley Bridge area.

What we seem to lack in the East, tall craggy sharp tipped mountains, we have water...lots of water. The old Appalachian Mountains...some of the oldest on earth are perfect foils against the mountain rivers coursing down the hillsides. The sense of exhilaration I feel when this old gal climbs down the rocky hillsides to catch the wonderfully textured, layered shot keeps me feeling that life still has a lot to offer me, especially when I make it back up in one piece. My husband holds his breath every time I do one of these shoots and has a long rope packed away in the car in case he has to do a rescue. Wouldn't this make a terrific show piece on your walls? I have a number of wonderful mountain waterfalls which would make a splendid grouping.
