Artist's Description
One of a number of picturesque historic lighthouses along the outer banks of North Carolina in Nag's Head, the Bodie Lighthouse is especially well positioned for night photography with dark skies in the area necessary for night photos. This is a stunning image of the Bodie Lighthouse under star skies with beautiful reflected lights. I was up over night to get this fabulous photo and spent the night at the Nags Head Lighthouse and then went to shoot a Nags Head Sunrise at a pier the following morning. I hope to see it graced on a customer's wall who loves it as much as I do!

Like many photographers, I didn't begin the process becoming a professional photographer, as a conscious decision. The decision was a linear progression over many years. I like to travel, so naturally would photograph to document our travels. My before retirement job required I learn the basics of photography and programming using a point and shoot camera. The move to professional photography changed over time. I was encouraged to buy a better camera as my photographs got better. Gradually as my photography got better, I was further encouraged to move to selling and becoming a professional. We are surrounded by beauty, but so much isn't noticed.
