Description
One of my favorite locations to photograph is this fine old mill, the Big Otter Mill located in Bedford, Virginia, close to the Blue Ridge Parkway and Peaks of Otter. I caught her one morning just as the fog was lifting and the sun was rising and peeking out from the right side just over the Big Otter River to the right of the footbridge. Also available in black and white and sepia.
Profits from sales will go to the restoration of this old mill to help make sure she is still around for generations and to honor a friend of mine, Becky Wuergler who is no longer with us who started her restoration.
It was a rainy overcast day in the Winton M. Blount Cultural Park, Montgomery, Alabama. Touring with friends in the area I saw this wonderful sculpture off in the distance as it was pouring rain outside. Not to be dissuaded I jumped out of the car and caught this sculpture of running frocking kids jumping over a puddle against one of the museums.
