Artist's Description
One of my favorite places in Williamsburg, Virginia at Christmas has to be the old, historic Williamsburg Inn on Dule of Gloucester Street. The inn is wonderful any time of year but really shines during the Christmas holidays. The exterior is adorned with thousands of tiny white lights that cast wonderful reflections in the winter pool adjoining the hotel. The effect is magic and mesmerizing.
The Inn's history began in 1937, with two other additions added through the years. The design is a three-story, seven-bay, Colonial Revival style brick structure, acclaimed for its accommodations, service and cuisine
The Inn was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1997. Williamsburg Inn is a member of Historic Hotels of America, the official program of the National Trust for Historic Preservation.

About Norma Brandsberg
Like many photographers, I didn't begin the process becoming a professional photographer, as a conscious decision. The decision was a linear progression over many years. I like to travel, so naturally would photograph to document our travels. My before retirement job required I learn the basics of photography and programming using a point and shoot camera. The move to professional photography changed over time. I was encouraged to buy a better camera as my photographs got better. Gradually as my photography got better, I was further encouraged to move to selling and becoming a professional. We are surrounded by beauty, but so much isn't noticed.
